Hi Lisa
I sent you an e mail but wanted to make sure you got my message. I had missed your message and so I appologise for taking so long in getting back to you. I do have a small orchard piece in my art show at Eclectic Gallery on oak bay avenue here in Victoria.
Let me know if you need any further info by e mailing me directly at dhouston@coastnt.com.
It has been a long time (Many years) since I showed my work at Whistler. The gallery owner there was a lovely person and I always enjoyed showing my work there. (Inge)
I switched to acrylic paints many years ago now. I like them because I can work very freely and the paint can be manipulated in so many ways.
Thank you for your enquiry.

Oh my goodness I totally agree with you! I have always wished to spend time in that building and would love to see it restored as it was when she lived there – can you imagine? It would be amazing and far more “true Emily”! I do visit the Carr house occasionally, more often her grave at the cemetary though, or sites where she painted. And I have often thought it very unfair her best work is in Vancouver, it makes no sense. This was her home. Thank you so much for your article here!

Hi Deryk: I have a postcard image of your painting "Blackbirds." I have kept it for years and use it as a bookmark. It's tucked inside Carl Jung's book "Memories, Dreams, Reflections" right now. I suspect I will never own this beauty, but I wonder if you'd mind if I created it again in glass tile mosaics? I cannot paint nor draw. Alas, I can only create images with words. And so, I have to do "paint by number" with glass tiles. How do you feel about someone stealing the image and recreating in another medium?
