“Crows Among The Seeds”

My painting “Crows among the Seeds” was awarded “jurors Choice” in the Sooke Art Show in 2011.
I enjoyed working on this piece, having fun dividing up the space with fields that only exist in my own imagination, but based on my experience out on the local farms near Victoria BC.
People often want to know where a particular place is. We all want to make sense of our world and place things in an organized way. It helps make us feel more secure in some ways I would think. But ……sorry…..this place does not really exist:)
But it is real in a true sense. More about everything else. The stookes are people. The crows …..well………we all have our own history related to blackbirds and what they mean. As a child….they used to scare the hell out of me because I saw one sitting on the head of a sheep pecking it’s eyeballs out.
Ha Ha……… so I have no love for crows! At the same time I do love the way they dance and play and they have a beauty as well. Nothing is straight forward or simple……just like art.
Thank you for your time today checking this idea out.
Enjoy every day…….”look after your goodness”.
