Exhibitions 2011 and 2012

Current showings and upcoming exhibitions:

February 27,  2012 through to April 7 is my exhibition at the Eclectic Gallery on Oak Bay Avenue.

I have new pieces at the amazing Sooke Harbour House and my wife Elizabeth and I have been invited to be featured artists there (their shows have Sunday opening receptions) in August 2012! We’re really looking forward to that.

My installation “Seeking Peace” will be at the Nanaimo Art Gallery starting on January 13, 2012 and running through to mid-April.

Previous exhibitions:

I had an exhibition at the Chemainus Theatre in July and August, 2011.

Tractor series paintings at The Old School House Arts Centre JUNE14th – JULY 11th, 2010
Artist statement:
Tractors always fascinated me when I was a young boy growing up on the farm in Scotland. I loved the smell of the diesel and the rubber tires in the hot summer sun. We would sit with our backs to the big black wheels and share lunch with the farm hands.
As an artist, I admire how tractors easily tear up the fertile earth and prepare the ground for the next generation of seeds to flourish and grow. This idea runs through all my work.
