It seems important that the New York Times clarify what they mean when they say “Iran would prevent access to sites and personnel that the West suspects of advancing the nation’s work toward nuclear arms capability”. Another great article by Uri Avnery from Israel. Uri Avnery Tsunami in Egypt UNTIL THE very last moment, the Israeli leadership tried to keep Hosni Mubarak in power. It was hopeless. Even the mighty United States was impotent when faced with this tsunami of popular outrage. In the end it settled for second best: a pro-Western military [...] Congratualtions to the west…….you have now pushed Iran towards full blown nuclear devlopment. Iran was “willing” to trade it’s fuel in exchange for the processed nuclear fuel as long as the exchange was made on it’s own territory. The west wanted things done “My way or the highway” and so this deal has fallen through [...] It was such a pleasure to read the voice of reason when Jimmy Carter said the following. |
