TD ART GALLERY PAINT IN (Formerly “Moss street Paint In” )

I am looking forward to the “TD Art Gallery Paint In”,   taking place  in Victoria, B.C. this weekend
(Sat 17th 11:00am -4:30pm.).
It is a huge event and a great opportunity for artists in the community to gather and share their work with tens of thousand of people.
I have decided to showcase a real antique tractor and will create a simple installation work by taking it out of it’s rural context and place it into a city setting.

I have been working on a series of tractor paintings for some time now. I love the way they break up the earth and allow seeds to grow. People are leaving farms around the world and heading for the cities more than ever. It would be nice to see this reversed in some way.
If you want to see my exhibit and watch me paint …..then head north from Dallas Road… up Moss street to Oxford street.  My stall is # 110 on the right hand side looking north. ( My location is just south of “Fairfield road”)
This event is for art lovers and is worth attending. There will be aprox. 150 artists displaying their work.
My advice is that you start your walk near Dallas road and then walk north up Moss street….ending at the Victoria Art Gallery where you can cool your feet with a nice cold beer and dance to music.

(The Moss street farmers market is also open at Sir James Douglas school at the corner of Fairfield road and Moss street. So don’t forget to take that in as well.)
All the artists should be set up by 11:00am and the show ends at 4:30pm. I like to get set up early.
Hope to see you there!!!!!
