It has a certain darkness that I like and a mystery that is somehow very personal. It was based on one of my many visits to Gonzales Bay here in Victoria BC. It is not a realistic version of reality. Just inspired by the shapes and houses set along the slopes of the Bay. I see shapes and respond to them. I see shadows and light. It is a small painting for an intimate space. It is about people and their closeness to each other.
