It was kind of cool, and uncomfortable&#8230;.. but I enjoy working on location when I can. Sometimes the wind forces you to move the brushes and paint quickly and the result is a painting with tons of energy. It is impossible to fuss over details with the threat of rain hanging in the background. I just love the resulting simplicity of the painting. I don;t use an easel when I paint outdoors. I like the canvas sitting on my lap or on the ground for the bigger pieces. It encourages a distortion in the shapes and lines.
