Story:
\nJohn Lennon loved to play in the garden of \u00a0Strawberry Fields when he
\nwas a child. It was a Salvation Army school for children near his home
\nin Liverpool. \u00a0His mom used to chide him for going there and so he had
\nsaid it was \u201cnothing to get hung about\u201d.
\nThe song brought back memories of the time my dad used to give us hell
\nfor climbing up to the chimney pots on the roof of our little
\nwhitewashed, stone house, in Scotland.
\nAs a little boy I could’t resist the temptation and I never understood
\nwhat the big deal was all about. \u00a0And so I would climb up to the roof to
\nsee where the smoke from our fireplace came out.
\nThe painting concentrates on the image of the sign or plaque that hangs
\non the gate post to Strawberry fields.
\nI thought it might be interesting to make the word, “forever”, look like
\nit was fading out.<\/p>\n
