Everything one reads refers back to some comment or another about Iran. It is meaningless to have a conference like this and not also invite Iran. Astonishing and mind boggling when one realizes that Israel is invited and it refuses to sign onto the non proliferation treaty of nuclear weapons. Israel will not officially admit to even owning them and yet an admission was clearly recorded on film many years ago when the Israeli government inadvertently admitted they do actually have them. No one has given one shred of evidence that Iran wants to achieve that goal. And yet Mrs Clinton openly claimed, without any challenge from the media, that Iran had “stated” that it did want to achieve that goal. Iran has claimed repeatedly that it does not want nuclear weapons. There is even less evidence being produced today than when America tried to claim that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. (The brutal sanctions on the Iraqi people caused the deaths of several thousand of their children …based on a 2002 Unicef report).
\nNow we have this circus being presented which is simply hype to gather support for further sanctions on Iran.
\nI have been reading everything I can get my hands on for the past two years on Iran and I have not read one thing that could be called even remote evidence that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons. So why is Obama doing this?
\nWhy is the media not being more careful not to fall into the same trap that they fell into before the invasion of Iraq? Why are our governments not being more careful?
\nIsrael has full intentions of going ahead with a bombing run on Iran’s civilian nuclear facilities.
\nThis will lead to war and destruction in Iran and in Israel and it could be avoided. Iran has not broken the non proliferation agreement it signed. It has stuck to that agreement to the letter. It has agreed to full inspections.
\nIt is not north Korea. It does not have stockpiles of highly enriched weapons grade material like that found in Russia and in broken states. Every drop of Iran’s nuclear fuel is accounted for by the IAEC.
\nLet’s not blunder into Iran like most of the west did in Iraq. (Canada didn’t participate in Iraq ….thanks to our last prime minister.
\nI believe that our new government under Harper is more reckless and is more interested in securing lucrative trade deals for their business friends. That’s the sole reason we are in Afghanistan.
\nUnfortunately America has not learned anything from the attacks of 911. It does not understand that the biggest threat to it’s people is the way it does business around the world. They have hundreds of military bases around the world. It does this by brute force. Countries are forced to accept this domination if they wish to win trade deals and favors. This is well documented at the United Nations.
\nIt seems we have to learn everything the hard way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
It is certainly quite the circus at the Obama led nuclear security summit.
