\"\"<\/a>I had a lot of fun setting up a simple “test” of the concept I had in mind for an ongoing art project. (Elizabeth and I drove north through the Fraser Canyon toward Clinton)
\nI plan to set up several dozen white sheets on lines in the Fraser Canyon over a period of one year. I love the rugged beauty and the history in this part of British Columbia. The canyon and it’s access to the rich gold fields played a very important role in BC’s political future with the rest of Canada.
\nI was excited at the shapes of the material as the wind caught the sheets. The whole thing changed shape with each new breeze. It was impossible to control the shapes but nature co operated and amazing patterns floated across the sky.
\nI have over a hundred white sheets and over time, my plan is to set them up somewhere special as one large display. I love the fresh clean feeling of the white material. It represents so many memories as well as symbols of surrender, flags, a fresh start, a clean slate, etc.
\nHere are some examples of the images from this first test which proves in my mind that the idea is worth pursuing.<\/p>\n
