\nAs I have said in earlier postings, I am sitting here absolutely “Gobsmacked” at finding out that the Green Party of Canada and the NDP support this bombing campaign in Libya.
\nWe have a situation here where our Canadian forces and the coalition are bombing “ahead” of the rebels so that they can move into strategic areas such as the Libyan oil fields and overthrow the government. This is clearly “not” a case of simply protecting civilians. This will cost many lives in the future because more wars will break out due to the obvious hypocrisy. Especially when the world can see that no one cares when Yemen, Syria, Jordon or Saudi Arabia fire on their own people. It is easy to see that this is not about protecting people. (The rebels have already made oil deals with certain countries already on the oil fields it has taken over, so I see a large red flag here.)
\nNo one even knows who these rebels are or what they stand for. It has been reported that some are linked to Al-Qaeda. (So…. can you believe it? The NDP and the Green Party and all the parties in Canada are supporting these rebels.)
\nI would like to see Canada make a bold move and declare that it is starting a new world police force. One that is fair and democratic. (I’ve written about this idea in more detail in my previous blog.)
\nAs a Canadian …I feel shocked that the NDP and the Green Party do not embrace the principles of Gandhi. There is no way that he would have supported this and I would have thought the NDP and the Green Party would understand this idea well.
\nWe need the younger generation to create a New …..more pure party…….perhaps call it “Democracy Now”. Along the lines of the British MP., Mr. George Galloway in Scotland.
