Canadian’s and their priorities.

It has been interesting to see Canadian’s vote Harper back into power. He was fully committed to the attack on Libya. No surprise there because we know that Harper loves to kiss America’s backside…….but what was shocking… was the blind support of the war on Libya by the NDP and the Green Party leaders. Not that it mattered to Canadian’s. The war just wasn’t an election issue. Canadian’s were more worried about the economy and government programs.
They see no connection between spending billions on fighter jets and having money left over for programs such as housing and education. I know someone who is being charged thousands of dollars interest on a student loan even though they were diagnosed with schizophrenia. That’s how much the Harper government cares about it’s people. And in my community of Victoria, the number of homeless people living on the streets is staggering. The same can be said for the city of Vancouver.
Our government is spending fortunes on a war against Libya …..with no real understanding of what they hell they are doing there.
Take a look at the following article to get some idea of what is really behind what is happening in Libya.
