Wiki Leaks …….Game Changer

The idea and the power behind Wiki Leaks is a complete game changer. It places the power in the hands of the people. Our governments can no longer conceal their nasty deeds around thw world. When a helipcopter shreds the bodies of journalists and children on the ground…we get to know about it. We get to witness the, laughing, calous nature of the gunship crew as an injured man is run over carelessly by one of the American trucks. We get to witness the decision to deny a young, bullet ridden girl the opportunity to go to a nearby American military hospital where she just might be able to survive her horrific injuries.
Wiki Leaks changes our view of our military and our governments and I believe that will make a safer world. Our governments will have to act responsibly. And so will our military.
Julian Assange has changed everything. History will recognize that. If he is tortured or killed, others will take his place. There is no stopping what is happening with the spread of information. The genie is out of the bottle. And our governments hate it and so does our major news organizations. It wasn’t CNN that broke the gunship slaughter story and yet it was one of the most eye opening video clips out there. They are now irrelevant.They simply “echoe” what Wiki Leaks points out.
Julian Assange has every right to be afraid of what will happen to him now. The authorities will not stop at anything to get the passwrod out of him …….in regards to his threat to unleash mountains of harmfull information. If history is any indication of his fate… he could easily be rendered out to countries and tortured. They have done it before for less.
It will be interesting to see if a reward will entice others who do know the password to come forward. Money changes everything they say. Loyalties dissolve….or do they?
We get to see our governments in action…how they threaten and squeeze people to get what they want. They never learn. It will be interesting to see what happens to Julian. His only hope is mutually assured destruction…the “poisen pill”.
No matter what the outcome……… the world has now changed and the people will have more power to shape their world. There will be other such organizations that will take over if this one is shut down. New ones will pop up.
In many ways it gives a lot of hope. Or is this just like “Animal Farm” all over again?
