SOOKE FINE ART SHOW July 26th – August 4th 2025
I have created a series of seven birdhouses ($135.00 each ) as part of my participation in the Sooke Fine Art Show. I love sitting in my garden watching birds come and go as they feed the next generation until they are ready to take flight on their own.
The birdhouses can be placed indoor as an art piece or placed outdoors under an eve for protection from the weather. The bottom floor unscrews for cleaning, but I’ve seen birds do that for themselves. They are wired for hanging indoors. Or they can be screwed to the wall outdoors by inserting a screw with a washer through the entrance hole and going through a small hole which is predrilled on the back panel. They are varnished with an exterior varnish which should give them protection under reasonable conditions.
The ornaments on top are fastened by an imbedded bolt and also glued with a construction glue. If you accidentally break the ornament, then give me a call and I’ll be happy to set it right if possible. It is a robust attachment and with normal care, I expect them to last for some time.
