Victoria Art Gateway is a new online art magazine and has been set up to tap into the “Cognitive Surplus” of artists and like-minded people in the Victoria BC area. Our hope is that people in the world of art will be excited to share their stories and expertise with others for the simple reward of [...] Letter to the Editor: City Taxes It is discouraging to hear our city leaders suggest that the salvation to our tax problems might be to encourage a casino in the heart of our city. I would like to create an exciting, colourfull art project on the breakwater here in Victoria BC. The Johnson street, save the bridge group, has embraced my idea of creating a simple art project on the Johnson street Bridge in Victoria.BC. We have arranged a permit with the generous help of the city of Victoria. Our plan is to use the little park beside the bridge on the city [...] On February 14th, 2010,(Next Valentines Day) I am inviting as many crazy, romantic people as possible to “Kiss the Blue Bridge” with a thousand or more helium filled balloons next valentines day. I would like to encourage everyone interested, to arrive by Kayak, small boat, or on foot at 9:00am. around and under the Johnstone [...] |
