Audacity of exit plan

It is so hilarious to watch CNN and BBC talk about the exit plan for the USA by 2011.
Talk about the elephant in the room analogy. Everyone “knows” that the US will not be able to get out by 2011 and everyone knows that the US has no plan to get out either. They can’t even get the additional troops into position there until the middle of 2010 at the earliest. So that would give them less than a year and a half to “fix” the problem. It is just so silly. How can they keep a straight face? Obama can’t even close down an infamous prison in the timeline he stated before and yet he is claiming he can win the war in Afghanistan. Lot’s of officials have pointed out that Afghanistan could “never come close” to paying for an army that they would need to gain control over it’s territory. Not to mention the time it would realistically take to train an army. It is not like it is a new idea to train the Afghans to take on the role of the military. We have heard this for eight years and yet somehow we still think we can shoe horn these people into mini American soldiers. I’ve read that the Americans line them up in boot camp and because of their years of malnutrition…they don’t even have the physical build to carry the weight that an American soldier carries. They can’t compete with their counterparts who can move around the mountains, lightly dressed in barefeet, and can out maneuver
the high tech soldiers carrying everything from toothbrushes to mars bars to laptops etc etc etc.
We have clearly learned nothing. Get ready for more body bags. More taxes. More of everything except complete domination and power over Afghanistan.
Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India and Iran among other countries all play a hand in this. How could a smart man like Obama honestly expect that somehow he can actually come up with a strategy to win this war. The Iraq war isn’t even over yet. There are still major problems there that have not been addressed such as how the major oil deposits of the north will be divided and shared.
And then there is Iran. When will Israel strike? It is only a question of time for that to happen. And America has said it would join in on that as well.
